Bhopal, June 2 (NationPress) Members of the right-wing groups Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) have initiated inspections targeting alleged cases of love jihad across various locations in Madhya Pradesh, primarily focusing on Indore and Bhopal.
Activists from both organizations are scrutinizing coaching centers, gyms, and other facilities.
During these inspections, they requested employee lists from the coaching centers and gyms to ascertain whether individuals from the Muslim community are employed. In instances where Muslim personnel are identified, proprietors are directed to terminate their employment.
The activists assert that their aim is to safeguard Hindu girls from potential love jihad.
On Monday, a faction of right-wing activists entered a local gym in Bhopal's Ayodhya Nagar and compelled a Muslim gym trainer to vacate his position. They reviewed the registration records and instructed the gym operator to remove only male Muslim trainers.
“Muslim youths are targeting Hindu girls in gyms and coaching centers. They lay a trap of love jihad and then exploit Hindu girls. We are committed to conducting these inspections throughout the city,” a Bajrang Dal activist shared with IANS.
Ironically, these inspections are occurring with police presence. An incident was reported where a police officer accompanying the right-wing activists was overheard cautioning a gym operator that “no Muslim would be allowed here (the gym).”
A video circulated on social media depicted Sub-Inspector Dinesh Sharma making a contentious remark during his interaction with a gym owner.
In the footage, Sharma is heard advising the owner to ban the entry of Muslim trainers and trainees at the facility. This incident transpired when Bajrang Dal representatives approached a gym in the Ayodhya Nagar area, seeking details about Muslim trainers from the gym operator.
“No Muslim will come here to give or take training. I have made that clear to you,” Sub-Inspector Dinesh Sharma is recorded stating in the video.
The right-wing activists commenced their inspections following the arrest of a shooting coach from the Muslim community, who faced sexual allegations in Indore recently.
Six women, who received training from him over various periods, have filed police complaints alleging sexual harassment.
