New Delhi, Dec 3 (NationPress) The Pradhan Mantri Jan Aarogya Yojana (PM-JAY) has emerged as a significant benefit for individuals throughout the nation. This initiative permits every citizen to access affordable and complimentary healthcare services at governmental and private medical establishments.
In Fatehabad, Haryana, numerous residents are availing themselves of complimentary treatments at private hospitals under the PM-JAY, which is also widely recognized as the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
A few individuals shared their experiences with IANS, expressing how the initiative has been a life-saving measure for them and their families.
Suresh Kumar, a resident of Bharana village in Fatehabad, mentioned that he has undergone dialysis for several years.
“Now that I have received my Ayushman card, I am able to get dialysis at a private hospital. This has allowed me to save significantly on my medical costs while also enjoying excellent facilities,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude towards the Modi government and the Haryana administration for enabling many individuals like him to receive complimentary treatment, even in private healthcare settings.
Mahendra Kaur, another Fatehabad resident, shared that she had been struggling with breathing issues and is now receiving treatment under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
“Thanks to the Ayushman Bharat card, I am receiving care at a private hospital,” she remarked.
“I am thankful and indebted to the Modi government for this opportunity,” she added.
The PM-JAY is recognized as the world’s largest health insurance initiative, fully funded by the government. It offers a coverage amount of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization across both public and private healthcare institutions in the country.
This Rs 5 lakh benefit operates on a family floater basis, enabling it to be utilized by one or all family members.
