Bengal's Strong Shift Towards Change: Shringla Highlights Trust in PM Modi
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Siliguri, April 11 (NationPress) Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Vardhan Shringla expressed on Saturday that there is a significant wave for transformation in West Bengal, asserting that the outcomes of the forthcoming Assembly elections will distinctly showcase this sentiment. He noted that individuals across the nation, particularly in Bengal, possess immense trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During a press interaction, Shringla remarked, “Citizens of our nation, especially those in Bengal, have profound confidence in PM Narendra Modi. He is set to prioritize Bengal significantly.”
He highlighted the Prime Minister’s active campaign efforts, saying, “The Prime Minister is already engaging in rallies throughout West Bengal, visiting areas like Murshidabad and Siliguri, with another rally planned for tomorrow. I witnessed an unprecedented turnout at the Brigade Parade Ground. Everywhere PM Modi appears, there are immense crowds.”
Shringla pointed out that the substantial gatherings are a testament not only to the people’s confidence in the Prime Minister but also to their eagerness for political transformation in the state. “This demonstrates that the public has great faith in Modi ji, while simultaneously desiring change. Transformation is crucial for West Bengal, and the people are eager to witness it,” he added.
“There is a substantial movement for change, which will be evident in the election results. The rally in Asansol was exceptionally successful, and wherever he goes, he forges a connection with the common people, which significantly influences outcomes,” he continued.
The West Bengal Assembly elections are slated for April 23 to April 29 to elect all 294 members of the state Legislative Assembly, with vote counting scheduled for May 4.
Prominent BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, have ramped up their campaigning, conducting consecutive rallies across the state.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi accused the Trinamool Congress of reverting to underhand tactics by disseminating fake videos ahead of the Assembly elections to gain political advantage.
This comment was in response to a recent video and audio clip released by the Trinamool Congress that alleged former party legislator Humayun Kabir was involved in a Rs 1,000 crore deal with the BJP to influence Muslim voter demographics in the state.
However, the Prime Minister did not mention Kabir by name or directly refer to the video clip.
