According to authorities, one of the suspects, a bike mechanic with a previous criminal record, orchestrated the abduction to coerce the girl into marriage.
The apprehended gang members are identified as Ranganath, Rajesh, Chandan, Shreyas, and Manjunath.
As per police reports, Ranganath, the bike mechanic, was acquainted with the victim and had a history of incarceration for murder.
