Bengaluru, July 15 (NationPress) In a deeply unsettling turn of events, a college girl has reported being assaulted by her two instructors and their acquaintance in Bengaluru, according to police statements released on Tuesday.
The Marathahalli Police have apprehended all three suspects linked to this case. The incident was brought to the authorities' attention by the State Women's Commission.
The suspects have been named as Narendra, Sandeep, and their companion Anup.
The accused instructors taught physics and biology at a private institution located in Moodbidri within the Mangaluru district.
Police investigations reveal that Narendra had a close relationship with the victim and often provided her with study materials. He allegedly lured her to his friend's room in Marathahalli and assaulted her, subsequently threatening her to keep the incident confidential.
Days later, the second accused, lecturer Sandeep, reportedly attempted to assault her. When she resisted, he allegedly blackmailed her by claiming to possess incriminating photos and videos of her with Narendra.
Under duress, Sandeep is accused of raping her as well, taking her to Anup's room. Following this, Anup contacted her, further threatening to expose her, asserting he had CCTV footage of her entering his room, as stated by the police.
Overwhelmed by the continuous exploitation, the victim finally confided in her parents. After much persuasion, they reached out to the State Women's Commission.
The Commission provided support to the victim, which led her to file an official police complaint.
In a prompt response, the Marathahalli Police detained the suspects and are currently conducting interrogations.
Authorities suspect that the accused might have engaged in similar activities involving other female students.
Ongoing investigations are in place, with further developments anticipated.
