Bengaluru, Feb 23 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident of betrayal and violence, a 19-year-old college student from Bengaluru has reported being drugged and gang-raped by her boyfriend and his associate earlier this month.

A formal complaint has been lodged at the Amruthahalli Police Station, prompting an ongoing investigation.

The police have charged the suspects under Sections 64 (repeat rape offence), 70(1) (gang rape), and 351(2) (criminal intimidation), along with Section 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

The victim, originally from Tamil Nadu, is currently studying journalism and psychology at a notable college in Bengaluru. For the last five months, she has been residing at a PG hostel with a female friend.

The primary suspect, identified as Dickson Sandra, a Bengaluru resident, reportedly connected with the victim via Instagram in January 2026. They began an everyday conversation that led to Sandra professing his love and requesting to meet. The victim consented, and they met at a café in Koramangala on three occasions, where Sandra eventually proposed to her, an offer she accepted.

The victim recounted in her FIR that they maintained daily communication. On February 14, Valentine's Day, she attended college as usual, returning to her PG hostel by 12:50 p.m. Later that evening, around 8:30 p.m., she went out for dinner at a restaurant in Banashankari.

In her complaint, she mentioned that Sandra called her, inviting her to a villa in Jakkur. She and her friend arrived there around 1:15 a.m., where they were introduced to the second suspect, Nikhil, also a Bengaluru local.

Allegedly, they spent some time together, having snacks and chatting. However, the victim claims that Sandra and Nikhil then forcibly administered a rose-coloured tablet into her mouth. Within ten minutes, she felt an intense warmth in her body, began sweating, experienced dizziness, and her vision blurred.

According to her account, Sandra then led her to a room, made her lie down on a bed, and exited, claiming he was stepping out for a smoke. She subsequently lost consciousness.

Upon regaining consciousness, she found herself partially undressed, with Nikhil lying beside her, his hand on her chest. Alarmed, she pushed him away, covered herself with a bedsheet, and inquired about Sandra. Nikhil reportedly left and returned with Sandra while she was still semi-conscious.

The victim alleges that Sandra then forcibly stripped her and sexually assaulted her. Despite her attempts to resist, she felt powerless. She screamed in agony, but Sandra allegedly reassured her that nothing was wrong and that the act would strengthen their relationship. After the assault, both men reportedly exited the room and locked her inside.

In a semi-conscious state, she managed to dress herself and found her mobile phone under a pillow. Around noon, Sandra purportedly unlocked the door. She has further alleged that during the drive back, Nikhil threatened her with severe consequences if she disclosed the incident and inappropriately touched her before dropping her off near a mall.

Initially frightened to approach the authorities, the victim was haunted by the incident. On February 17, she sought medical attention at a hospital. After confiding in her brother about the ordeal, she filed a complaint at the Amruthahalli Police Station against Sandra and Nikhil.

The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing, and appropriate legal action will follow.
