Patna, Oct 17 (NationPress) The Janata Dal (United) has unveiled its roster of 40 prominent campaigners for the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections, submitting this list to the Election Commission on Friday.
Leading the charge is Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, with notable party figures including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, known as Lalan Singh, Bihar cabinet minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Rural Work Minister Ashok Chaudhary, JDU national working president Sanjay Kumar Jha, Nikhil Mandal, Nalanda Lok Sabha MP Kaushalendra Kumar, and JDU chief spokesperson and MLC Neeraj Kumar.
Among the esteemed women leaders featured are Meena Yadav, Kavita Singh, Kahkashan Parveen, and Lovely Anand.
A letter from JDU National General Secretary Afaq Ahmed Khan indicates that these leaders will drive the party's campaign across various Bihar constituencies.
This announcement marks the official start of the JD(U) election campaign.
Most of the star campaigners are also standing as candidates.
In the context of the NDA alliance, both JDU and BJP will contest 101 seats each in Bihar. The Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV) is allocated 29 seats. Meanwhile, the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), led by Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), headed by Upendra Kushwaha, will each contest six seats in these elections.
