Patna, March 7 (NationPress) In an era where daughters are often viewed as a liability in many regions of the country, Rajkumar Singh, known as Kamal Singh, from Bihar has emerged as a beacon of hope, demonstrating exceptional resilience and determination.

In spite of facing financial hardship and societal stigma, he made it his mission to ensure that all seven of his daughters received a quality education. Today, they are all proudly serving in the police and paramilitary forces, safeguarding the nation.

His steadfast dedication embodies the spirit of the Narendra Modi government's initiative, 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao'.

Residing in Ekma Bazaar in the Saran district of Bihar, Kamal faced relentless ridicule from relatives and villagers for having daughters. His brothers mocked him, asserting that his daughters would never land government jobs or find spouses.

Unfazed, he committed himself to their education and rigorous training, making them study until 11 p.m. and rise at 4 a.m. for their running practice. To provide for his family, Kamal established a flour mill and purchased a cow to enhance his earnings.

"I have endured great hardships to educate them. Now, all seven daughters are serving the country. May God bless everyone with daughters like mine," Kamal Singh expresses with pride.

The nameplate affixed to the entrance of Kamal Singh's home reads 'Singh Sister Palace', where each sister holds a distinguished position: The eldest, Rani Kumari Singh, is in the Bihar Police; Renu Kumari Singh serves in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB); Soni Kumari Singh is part of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF); Kumari Preeti Singh works in the Bihar Police Crime Branch; Kumari Pinki Singh is with the Excise Police; Kumari Rinki Singh is in the Bihar Police; and Nanhi Singh serves in the Government Railway Police (GRP).

Kamal Singh proudly states, "Their hard work has paid off, and today, the family owns two multi-storey buildings in Ekma Bazaar. The four-storey house was constructed by the daughters and gifted to me as a retirement present."

"When we marry and move out, you can live off the income from this house," they assured him.

Their sole brother, Rajiv Singh Rajput, is currently seeking employment after completing his B.Tech in Delhi. He remembers being teased that his sisters would inherit all the family property, but now, he confidently states, "Our sisters stand by us through everything. They never let me feel isolated."

Despite his daughters' encouragement, he continues to operate his flour mill, resolutely refusing to close it down.

"This mill is the reason I could provide for your education. Don’t even mention shutting it down," he tells them.

His wife, Shraddha Devi, expresses her gratitude, stating, "We faced challenges in feeding them initially, but by God's grace, all my daughters have made us proud."

The success story of the Singh sisters serves as a source of inspiration for families throughout India. It defies societal expectations and illustrates that daughters are not a burden, but rather a profound blessing.
