Bihar: Individual Detained for Menacing Pappu Yadav

Patna, Dec 2 (NationPress) The police in Purnea, Bihar, have apprehended Rambabu Yadav for purportedly threatening independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, commonly referred to as Pappu Yadav, on Monday.
Pappu Yadav, a significant player in Bihar's political landscape, has openly discussed receiving numerous death threats, allegedly from individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The accused, Rambabu Yadav, hails from Dumaria village in Bhojpur district, and is accused of making a video call in which he threatened Pappu Yadav, insisting on an apology to Lawrence Bishnoi.
Authorities in Purnea tracked his whereabouts and arrested him in his home area of Bhojpur. An in-depth investigation is ongoing.
In the last two months, Yadav claims he has received more than 20 threats, many allegedly tied to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The threats have included unsettling death warnings through WhatsApp messages, with one originating from a Pakistani number stating "final preparations" and a direct warning to "enjoy your last day."
The police in Purnea have rigorously interrogated Rambabu Yadav to discern the motive behind his threats and to confirm connections to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang, under the leadership of infamous criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, is recognized for its participation in high-profile crimes, such as extortion and murder. The gang's alleged threats to political figures signify a perilous trend of organized crime affecting public personalities.
In response to the threats against his life, a close associate recently presented Yadav with a bulletproof vehicle to bolster his security. These threats seem to arise from his forthright demeanor and his fearless stance against organized crime, especially regarding the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Yadav had previously declared on social media that he would dismantle the network of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang within 24 hours if allowed by law. This bold assertion appears to have made him a target for retaliation.
Notably, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has recently claimed responsibility for the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai.
