Controversy Surrounds Pappu Yadav: Bihar Police Uncover Truth Behind Threatening Calls

Patna, Dec 3 (NationPress) Purnea MP Pappu Yadav has found himself at the center of a controversy on Tuesday after a police inquiry into perceived threats against him took a surprising twist.
As per Purnea SP Kartikeya Sharma, the individual apprehended, Rambabu Yadav, confessed that the threats were concocted as a tactic to compel the government into granting increased security for Pappu Yadav.
Rambabu, who was detained in Bhojpur, revealed that close aides of Pappu Yadav were behind the threats. He alleged they compensated him to impersonate a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and make menacing phone calls.
Moreover, he asserted that he was assured a role in the Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), headed by Pappu Yadav, as part of the deal.
“There is no proof connecting Rambabu or the supposed threats to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang,” Sharma stated.
Based on Rambabu's confession, Sharma added that the entire incident seems to have been staged to validate increased security protocols for the MP.
“Rambabu was enticed into the scheme with promises of being appointed a leader of Pappu Yadav’s Jan Adhikar Party in Bhojpur and an upfront payment of ₹2,000. The overall deal was reportedly valued at ₹2 lakh,” Sharma mentioned.
“Rambabu had recorded two videos to intimidate Yadav. While one video was disseminated, the other was intercepted before it could be shared,” Sharma noted.
Rambabu Yadav, a resident of Shahpur block in Bhojpur district, was identified as the individual behind the threatening calls and videos, which were claimed to originate from Pakistan.
In another incident, a person detained by Purnea police for allegedly making threatening calls from Dubai turned out to be a canteen worker living in Delhi.
