Pappu Yadav Criticizes Purnea Police as 'Mentally Bankrupt'

Patna, Dec 3 (NationPress) Bihar MP Pappu Yadav voiced his intense dissatisfaction and frustration with the Purnea Police on Tuesday after Superintendent of Police, Kartikeya Sharma, alleged that a threatening call he received was orchestrated by one of his own associates.
“The Purnea Police must reveal the identity of the individual hired to threaten me and take strict legal action against him. The authorities are neglecting my safety and spreading misinformation,” Yadav stated.
He drew a parallel with the tragic case of the late Congress MLA Hemant Shahi, warning that his circumstances might lead to a similar fate if they are disregarded.
“Shahi was previously accused of faking an injury after being shot and later succumbed to his wounds during treatment,” Yadav remarked.
Yadav disclosed that he had received 26 threatening calls and messages, some traced back to Malaysia, Pakistan, and Nepal.
He questioned the inaction against these threats, suggesting a larger conspiracy was at play.
In a pointed critique, Yadav accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's administration of “mental incompetence” and raised doubts about its dedication to ensuring his safety.
He tagged the Chief Minister on the social media platform X, reiterating his serious concerns.
“The district police have deliberately compromised my security under external pressure. I demand an unbiased investigation into this matter,” Yadav asserted.
The situation escalated after SP Kartikeya Sharma claimed that Yadav's own associate was involved in the threatening calls.
Previously, SP Kartikeya Sharma stated that the arrested individual, Rambabu Yadav, confessed that the threats were a fabrication aimed at pressuring the government for increased security for Pappu Yadav.
Rambabu, who was apprehended in Bhojpur, revealed that Yadav's close associates orchestrated the threats and allegedly paid him to impersonate a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang to make the threatening calls.
He also claimed he was promised a position in the Jan Adhikar Party (JAP), led by Pappu Yadav, as part of the deal.
“There is no evidence linking Rambabu or the alleged threats to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang,” SP Sharma concluded.
