Patna, Dec 25 (NationPress) In a significant operation against narcotics trafficking, the police in Patna have dismantled a drug smuggling network disguised as a tea shop located in the Maner police station area of Bihar.
Following a tip-off, law enforcement conducted a raid on the premises of the tea shop owner on Wednesday evening, uncovering a substantial amount of drugs, cash, firearms, and other valuables.
During a press briefing on Thursday, Patna's Senior Superintendent of Police, Kartikeya S. Sharma, stated that the suspects had been operating this illicit drug operation for an extended period, involving their entire family.
In the course of the raid, authorities confiscated 545 grams of smack, 558 grams of charas, a homemade pistol, three cartridges, a pistol magazine, and Rs 12.16 lakh in cash.
