Patna, Feb 28 (NationPress) In a significant advancement towards improving security and expediting police response, the East Champaran Police in Bihar, in collaboration with the state Home Department, introduced the 'Naka Alert' app on Friday.
This application will provide real-time crime alerts to law enforcement personnel across more than 50 locations, facilitating immediate coordination.
The app is designed to assist in the swift deployment of police patrolling teams, local police stations, and Sub-Divisional Police Officers for prompt action.
Additionally, banks, jewellers, petrol stations, and Communications Service Provider operators will be incorporated into the system, enabling them to report emergencies without delay.
District Superintendent of Police (SP) Swarn Prabhat stated, "The advantages of this 'Naka Alert' app will extend beyond just the police. It will also bolster businesses and financial institutions by guaranteeing a swift security response during any criminal events."
With this cutting-edge crime alert system, law enforcement agencies in East Champaran intend to enhance security, deter crimes, and create a safer atmosphere for residents and businesses.
The app is poised to aid in addressing bank robberies, chain snatching, highway thefts, and jewellery shop heists, which have increased in various districts of Bihar over recent months.
The system will also monitor police response times, ensuring that patrolling vehicles and local police stations react swiftly to reported incidents.
"The 'Naka Alert' app will also establish accountability for police personnel at the station level, patrolling units, and others. The department will take action against police personnel found negligent despite receiving alerts from this application," SP Prabhat remarked.
During the app's launch, SP Prabhat highlighted its importance: "Naka Alert will be transformative for crime prevention and public safety. The police will initiate an awareness campaign to ensure that a wider audience can benefit from this app. It will be invaluable for the East Champaran Police and play a vital role in crime control."
With a focus on technology-driven policing, the Bihar Police aspire to foster a safer environment for both residents and businesses, ensuring prompt action and effective crime prevention.
