Patna, March 31 (NationPress) In a disturbing incident, a married woman was subjected to public molestation and faced an attempted gang rape by three assailants in the Noorsarai area of Nalanda district, Bihar. Local law enforcement has successfully apprehended two of the perpetrators.

The alarming event unfolded on March 26 as the victim was returning from a nearby grocery store. She was ambushed by a group of young men who attempted to harass her. In her struggle to escape and her cries for help, the attackers allegedly molested her, forcefully pinned her to the ground, and tried to gang rape her. They also damaged her clothing, recorded the assault without her consent, and circulated the video online intending to humiliate her.

The incident came to public attention when the video went viral on Tuesday. Following a formal complaint, the local police took swift action, forming a special team led by Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Sadar-2) Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal to investigate the case.

The arrested individuals, identified as Ashok Yadav and Matlu Mahto, also known as Navneet Kumar Narottam, have been placed in judicial custody. A third suspect, Ravikant Kumar, remains at large, with police conducting ongoing raids to locate him.
