Patna, April 28 (NationPress) On Monday, BJP leaders voiced their demand for stringent measures against RJD workers who purportedly shouted slogans in favor of Pakistan in the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack.
Nitin Naveen, Minister of the Road Construction Department, along with Prem Kumar, Cooperative Minister in the Nitish Kumar administration, vehemently criticized the RJD and insisted that those responsible be arrested and charged under treason laws.
“The RJD workers have cried out ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during an event in Lakhisarai district, which is utterly unacceptable. These individuals benefit from our nation while expressing admiration for Pakistan. This constitutes treason, and they must face legal action. This reveals the true nature of the RJD,” asserted Nitin Naveen.
In agreement, Prem Kumar stated that during a period when the nation is grieving the loss of innocent lives due to the Pahalgam terror attack, RJD leaders and supporters are chanting slogans in support of Pakistan.
“This is profoundly distressing and intolerable. Their behavior is treasonous, and they should be prosecuted under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act,” he remarked.
Prem Kumar also commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his previous actions, remarking, “Our Prime Minister has consistently taken decisive steps against Pakistan, including the surgical strike. This time as well, strong measures will be implemented.”
The alleged incident has escalated political tensions in Bihar, with the BJP condemning the RJD for what they label as “anti-national conduct” during a critical time for the nation.
On April 22, at least 26 tourists lost their lives after assailants opened fire on unarmed civilians in Baisaran, Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
Eyewitness reports indicate that a group of heavily armed terrorists emerged from the nearby woods and unleashed indiscriminate gunfire on the civilians, primarily targeting tourists.
Baisaran is a picturesque meadow located three to four kilometers from the Pahalgam market, accessible only on horseback due to the absence of a motorable road.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also truncated his trip to Saudi Arabia in response to the terror attack.
He convened a brief meeting with NSA Ajit Doval, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri at the airport.
PM Modi vehemently denounced the terror attack, asserting that those responsible would face justice and reiterating India’s unwavering commitment to combating terrorism.
