Patna, Jan 24 (NationPress) RJD Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Kumar Jha addressed the media at Patna Airport on Saturday, delivering a sharp critique of both the Central and Bihar governments. He emphasized that the deterioration of law and order in Bihar, highlighted by the recent case involving a NEET aspirant, necessitates immediate accountability.
Jha also challenged comments made by BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy, questioning the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this pressing issue.
Responding to Rudy's assertion that crime escalates whenever Tejashwi Yadav is in Bihar, Jha remarked, “I never anticipated such a distasteful statement from the individual you mentioned.”
Pointing to the rising crime rates and the mysterious death of the NEET student, Jha reiterated the RJD's firm position that Bihar's law and order has disintegrated, prompting the need for urgent corrective measures.
He recalled Tejashwi Yadav's commitment to evaluate government performance over the first 100 days before offering his views.
Jha expressed deep concern over the recent surge in crime, asserting that those in power lack empathy for victims' suffering and must take swift action to restore public order.
In a heartfelt conclusion, Manoj Jha stated that the breakdown of law and order has deeply affected the public, leading to demands for governmental accountability. “We are merely hurt individuals today,” he expressed, stressing that the government must respond to the ongoing law and order crisis.
Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav criticized Prime Minister Modi during the celebrations for the birth anniversary of former Bihar Chief Minister and Bharat Ratna awardee Karpoori Thakur at the RJD office in Patna.
Tejashwi inquired, “Where are Narendra Modi and Amit Shah today? They didn’t even acknowledge the suspicious death of the NEET student.”
He further claimed that crime is pervasive in Bihar, arguing that shootings, kidnappings, and murders happen daily, and accused the government of abusing its power and constitutional institutions.
