Patna, July 12 (NationPress) Opposition Leader Tejashwi Yadav has fiercely criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar regarding the worsening law and order scenario in Bihar, asserting that the state is currently experiencing criminal disorder rather than effective governance.
“In this government, there is nobody in Bihar who is attentive to the people's concerns. The law and order situation has utterly disintegrated. The state is engulfed in criminal chaos. There are incidents of murder, frequent gunfire, and an atmosphere of fear prevails,” Tejashwi remarked during a press briefing in Patna on Saturday.
He referenced the recent killings of grocery vendor Vikram Jha, sand supplier Ramakant Yadav, and entrepreneur Gopal Khemka in Patna.
Tejashwi Yadav accused the state administration of rampant corruption, claiming that officials are aware of the impending end of the government and are “preoccupied with looting.”
“No work is accomplished in government offices without bribery,” he asserted.
Tejashwi characterized the Nitish-led NDA government as lacking vision and originality.
“This NDA administration is devoid of a detailed plan. They simply replicate my proposals. We have a definitive roadmap to propel Bihar towards development, and numerous initiatives are in place for the state,” he emphasized.
In response to LJP Ram Vilas national president Chirag Paswan's remarks about the rising murder rates in Bihar, Tejashwi jested: “He should inform Prime Minister Narendra Modi that Jungle Raj has returned to Bihar.”
Tejashwi made these statements following a meeting of the INDIA bloc's coordination committee at his official residence in Patna.
When asked about the agenda of the meeting, he replied: “It was an internal gathering; we cannot reveal anything publicly.”
Regarding discussions on seat-sharing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, Tejashwi Yadav confirmed that talks had occurred but chose not to disclose specifics.
“Discussions are ongoing, but the details cannot be shared,” he concluded.
