Vijayendra, the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party and a Member of the Legislative Assembly, stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party has honored the architect of the Constitution, B.R. In his criticism of the Congress, he alleged that they exploit Dalits and marginalized groups merely as a vote bank, neglecting their welfare.
Vijayendra pointed out that the 135th birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar will be observed tomorrow (Tuesday), with numerous events planned nationwide under the directive of BJP National President Nitin Nabin.
He emphasized that the BJP's goal is to disseminate Ambedkar’s teachings to the public and the country.
Notable attendees included former Deputy Chief Minister and MP Govind Karjol, B.R. Ambedkar Birth Anniversary National Committee member Jagadish Hiremani, Bengaluru South district president and MLA C.K. Ramamurthy, Bengaluru North district president S. Harish, and Bengaluru Central district president Saptagiri Gowda.
The Karnataka unit of the BJP announced a series of events from April 13 to 20 to celebrate the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
Jagadish Hiremani, part of the B.R. Ambedkar Birth Anniversary National Committee and former state secretary of the BJP, mentioned that various activities will be conducted throughout the state from April 13 to 20, aiming to spread Babasaheb Ambedkar’s ideology among the populace.
He added that the celebrations for Ambedkar’s birth anniversary are being held with great enthusiasm across the nation, with a national committee established under the leadership of the BJP national president.
Hiremani noted that statues, circles, roads, and memorials related to Ambedkar will be cleaned, and commemorative events are planned for the evening.
The “Bhima Deepotsava” will also be a part of the celebrations.
Programs will take place in all taluk and district centers statewide. In Bengaluru, a Deepotsava will occur in front of Ambedkar’s statue near Halasuru Lake, with similar “Bhima Deepotsava” events happening across Karnataka.
