Amaravati, April 14 (NationPress) Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh expressed on Tuesday that the most significant way to honor Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is by upholding democratic values. In a social media post, he paid homage to the esteemed architect of the Indian Constitution, social reformer, and Bharat Ratna, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, as the nation celebrated his 135th birth anniversary.
“Dr. Ambedkar serves as a remarkable role model; despite facing caste discrimination and the curse of untouchability, he sought higher education and achieved a level of greatness that makes our nation proud. The strength of our democracy today can be attributed to the Constitution he gifted us,” stated the Chief Minister.
“By guaranteeing equal rights and opportunities, he ensured constitutional safeguards for each citizen. It is our shared mission to realize the principles espoused by Dr. Ambedkar. The ultimate tribute we can give to this visionary is to preserve democratic values and act as responsible citizens,” he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan also honored Ambedkar. “In remembrance of the visionary leader, scholar, and Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Ambedkar, the chief architect and Chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Indian Constitution, and the first Law Minister of independent India, we reflect on his unwavering fight for social justice, equality, and empowerment,” posted Pawan Kalyan.
Additionally, K.T. Rama Rao, President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), paid his respects to Ambedkar.
The former minister remarked that Ambedkar was a noble soul who dedicated his life to uplifting the marginalized groups within society.
“Ambedkar was a global humanist who advocated for the oppressed. He envisioned an egalitarian society and fought for the rights of individuals from every background. He was the brilliant mind behind the Constitution of India,” KTR mentioned in a post on ‘X’.
KTR further noted that Ambedkar was instrumental in fulfilling the aspirations of the Telangana people for a separate state through Article 3.
He claimed that the nine-and-a-half-year tenure of the BRS government has been inspired by Babasaheb Ambedkar’s teachings.
“In order to ensure that Ambedkar's principles and values are passed down to future generations, the KCR government has constructed a 125-foot statue of Ambedkar in the center of Hyderabad. The government has also honored him by naming the Telangana State Secretariat after him. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, we humbly and profoundly pay our respects to this towering figure,” KTR concluded.
