Hyderabad, April 14 (NationPress) The Governor of Telangana, Shiv Pratap Shukla, along with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, solemnly honored Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the occasion of his 135th birth anniversary.

The Governor hailed Babasaheb as one of India’s most illustrious figures and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.

Emphasizing the timeless significance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision, the Governor stated: "Dr. Ambedkar’s life is a remarkable illustration of the victory of the human spirit against challenges. As a forward-thinking social reformer and distinguished jurist, he dedicated his life to seeking justice, equality, and the upliftment of the underprivileged. His enduring legacy serves as a powerful reminder of the necessity to safeguard the rights of the disadvantaged and marginalized."

The Governor urged that this day offers every citizen a chance to reaffirm their dedication to the principles and tenets of the Constitution. He called for collective efforts to uphold constitutional values and work towards reinstating the nation’s honor, fostering a just and inclusive society for everyone.

"Let us progress together with the spirit of unity and brotherhood that Babasaheb advocated," he concluded.

On this significant day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy similarly paid homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.

The Chief Minister commended Dr. Ambedkar’s relentless advocacy for the welfare of marginalized communities and acknowledged the national leader’s invaluable contributions towards empowering Dalits, Adivasis (tribals), backward classes, and women.

Dr. Ambedkar’s foresight in envisioning the country’s future and his profound drafting of the Constitution serves as a source of inspiration for upcoming generations, the CM remarked, highlighting that his fight for the rights of the oppressed stands as a guiding light and a model for the entire world.

Encouraging everyone to collaboratively pursue the ideals and dreams of this eminent leader, CM Revanth Reddy pointed out that, inspired by Ambedkar’s philosophy, the “people’s government” has implemented crucial decisions, such as the classification of SC sub-castes and the enhancement of BC reservations.

The Chief Minister also mentioned that alongside executing the SC/ST Sub-Plan, the government is prioritizing the welfare of Dalit and tribal communities throughout the state.

He highlighted that the government has also increased hostel charges and allowances in government welfare hostels, along with other unprecedented measures in the state’s history.

The CM announced plans for establishing a "Young India Integrated Residential School" in each Assembly constituency, expressing hope that children from all communities and religions would access quality education in a single setting.
