The Governor emphasized that Babasaheb was not only a prominent politician but also a respected jurist and the principal architect of India’s Constitution.
“Dr. Ambedkar significantly contributed to the creation of the Indian Constitution and the pursuit of social justice and equality. His ideals continue to motivate future generations to strive for an inclusive and progressive society,” the Governor conveyed in his message.
Chief Minister Naidu expressed his tributes via the social media platform 'X'.
He reflected on the late leader’s assertion that “a nation thrives only when it remains vigilant, educated, self-respecting, and self-assured.” “Inspired by those profound words, let us all work diligently to uphold the dignity of the marginalized and instill self-confidence among them. Let us achieve the equitable society that Ambedkar envisioned,” stated the Chief Minister.
Naidu acknowledged Dr. Ambedkar’s role as the Architect of the Indian Constitution, the inaugural Law Minister of independent India, and a hero of the freedom struggle, noting that he laid the groundwork for modern Indian society.
“On this Ambedkar Jayanti, let us honor the service of this remarkable individual to our nation. We must rededicate ourselves to the upliftment of Dalits,” he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan remarked that the state government is committed to advancing Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals.
He recalled that Dr. Ambedkar authored the Constitution, which ensures equal rights for all citizens, regardless of caste, religion, or gender.
The Jana Sena leader noted that Dr. Ambedkar identified the roots of backwardness as social rather than economic. His life experiences, the enlightenment gained through education, and his resolute determination to establish an equal society motivated him to draft the Constitution, the Deputy CM mentioned.
Pawan Kalyan emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar’s commitment to enhancing the self-esteem of marginalized classes, the poor, the weaker sections, SCs, and STs through education and equal development opportunities remains a guiding principle for the ruling authorities.
He asserted that the Central government, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is devoted to preserving Ambedkar’s legacy.
He further stated that the Andhra government, led by CM Naidu, prioritizes the upliftment, welfare, and protection of SCs and STs.
Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party leader, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, also paid homage to Dr. Ambedkar.
“Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of our Constitution, advocated for equality, upliftment, and empowerment of the underprivileged. This is what we have endeavored to achieve during our tenure and will continuously strive to ensure dignity and justice for the oppressed in our state,” stated Jagan Mohan Reddy.
“Dr. B.R. Ambedkar stands as an everlasting source of inspiration for humanity for generations to come. On his birth anniversary, we honor and pay tribute to his enduring legacy,” Jagan Mohan Reddy concluded.
