Is the Bengal BJP Warning Us About the Threat of Illegal Infiltration?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Kolkata, Jan 30 (NationPress) In an effort to intensify its campaign against the Trinamool Congress, which the BJP alleges is nurturing Bangladeshi infiltrators to maintain a loyal vote bank in West Bengal, the party unveiled a documentary titled 'The Silent Invasion' on Friday. This film aims to alert the public about the escalating threat of illegal infiltration.
“Since 1980, the BJP has maintained that infiltration is a plot to seize India without a conventional war. In this light, the West Bengal BJP has introduced the documentary 'The Silent Invasion'.
The film presents a factual account of how rampant illegal infiltration and the spread of counterfeit identity documents are instigating a ‘demographic re-engineering’ that not only endangers West Bengal’s socio-economic structure but also poses a risk to national security,” a statement from the BJP on Friday indicated.
The inaugural episode of the documentary is titled 'Ticking Time Bomb', which chronicles the apprehension of illegal operatives connected to groups like Al-Qaeda and JMB throughout India, including the recent Operation Praghat (2024-25) in Assam.
“The film references a 2025 Guwahati High Court statement labeling this influx as a 'silent and insidious demographic invasion' comparable to external aggression,” the press release noted.
The documentary also reveals a profound conspiracy aimed at erasing cultural identity and manipulating democratic processes.
The revelations in the documentary encompass details regarding the pricing for obtaining forged Indian identity documents, the destruction of evidence during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) to avoid detection by the Election Commission of India (ECI), and mass migration through the international borders with Bangladesh.
“History tends to resurface to alert us, and once again, it stands at our threshold, cautioning us about the dire repercussions of silent demographic re-engineering taking place around us. The painful history of intentional demographic engineering, designed to detach Bengal and Assam from the Indian Union via internal sabotage, looms large.
At this pivotal moment, we must consider this history as a clarion call to acknowledge and address this internal sabotage, and to act decisively to protect our identity, our land, and our nation from this 'silent invasion',” concludes the statement.
