New Delhi, April 6 (NationPress) On Monday, BJP leaders across the nation marked the party’s Foundation Day with great zeal, expressing admiration for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi while honoring the generations of workers whose efforts have transformed the BJP into what is hailed as the largest political party in the world.

In an interview with IANS, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak conveyed his greetings to party members and citizens alike.

“Today is the Foundation Day of the Bharatiya Janata Party. I send heartfelt greetings to all party workers and the state's residents. I remember the sacrifices made by our predecessors from the party’s inception to the present. With their dedication, alongside Prime Minister Modi's leadership, the BJP has risen to become the world’s largest party. A significant program is scheduled at the BJP office in Uttar Pradesh, and I wish all party leaders the best on this special day,” he remarked.

Sanjay Saraogi, the president of BJP's Bihar unit, emphasized the party's growth and organizational strength.

“Founded in 1980, the BJP has expanded across the nation, including in Bihar. Today, it proudly stands as the world’s largest political party. We take great pride in Prime Minister Modi, one of the most respected leaders globally. Under the direction of our state leadership, the organization continues to fortify. We are celebrating the Foundation Day at over 92,000 booths throughout Bihar,” he stated.

Keshav Upadhye, the Vice President of BJP in Maharashtra, described the celebrations as jubilant.

“In Maharashtra, the Bharatiya Janata Party is celebrating its Foundation Day like a festival. Party offices are adorned, flags are raised, and similar events are taking place at every booth. Party members are also displaying BJP flags in their homes, showcasing their enthusiasm and commitment,” he noted.

Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav mentioned that the Foundation Day celebrations are happening at all levels.

“Each year, the BJP observes its Foundation Day, and this year is no exception, with programs organized at the district level. I am joining the festivities in my district, Kaimur,” he shared.

Echoing similar sentiments, BJP National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain stated, “Today marks the BJP’s Foundation Day. I raised the party flag at my home in Patna and will attend a program in Sitamarhi. There is a celebratory spirit nationwide. The BJP is the largest political party globally, and we govern in multiple states. We are optimistic about further extending our influence, including in West Bengal.”

Rajasthan Minister Jawahar Singh Bedham also extended his greetings, noting the party's founding on April 6, 1980.

Established in 1980 after splitting from the Janata Party, the BJP traces its ideological roots back to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which was founded in 1951 by Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. Over the years, the party has emerged as a crucial national force, focusing its political narrative on nationalism, governance, and development.
