New Delhi, April 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday sent heartfelt wishes to the workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party in celebration of the party's Foundation Day, underscoring their enduring dedication to public service and the tenet of “India First.”

Founded in 1980 following a division from the Janata Party, the BJP has its roots in the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, established in 1951 by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. The party has evolved into one of the leading national political entities in India, prioritizing cultural nationalism and development.

In a post on X, PM Modi expressed, “I extend warm wishes to all BJP Karyakartas across the nation on our party’s Sthapana Diwas. Our Party is consistently at the forefront of societal service, guided by the India First principle. Our Karyakartas are recognized for their altruistic service, unwavering commitment, and profound enthusiasm for effective governance. They have diligently worked at the grassroots level, ensuring that our ideology and initiatives reach as many people as possible.”

He also honored the workers whose dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance have contributed to the party's development over the years.

The Prime Minister remarked, “The BJP is dedicated to placing the welfare of the populace at the heart of its vision. This commitment is evident in our efforts at the Centre and across various states. The BJP is devoted to creating a Viksit Bharat. May our collective determination continue to propel this vision forward, advancing India towards greater progress and prosperity.”

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also shared his greetings, stating, “Heartfelt wishes to all BJP workers on this foundation day, which symbolizes our resolve to prioritize Nation First above everything else. The formation of the Bharatiya Janata Party, inspired by the nationalist ideologies of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, was not just a political milestone but a commitment to national revival… Starting with the fundamental principle of welfare for every individual, the BJP, under Modi Ji's leadership, has embraced the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,’” Shah stated in a post on X.

Other prominent leaders, including Union Ministers J.P. Nadda, Kiren Rijiju, Nitin Gadkari, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, also extended their wishes on the party’s foundation day.
