New Delhi, April 5 (NationPress) As Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the 'Sri Lanka Mitra Vibhushan', the highest civilian award for Heads of State and Government, prominent BJP leaders regarded it as a significant achievement and evidence of India's escalating global prominence.
This esteemed award was presented by Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake during a joint press conference in Colombo. Instituted to acknowledge global leaders fostering friendly ties with Sri Lanka, the accolade embodies profound appreciation for their solidarity and goodwill towards the citizens of the island nation.
"I am pleased to announce that the Government of Sri Lanka has decided to confer upon PM Modi the highest Sri Lanka honour -- Sri Lanka Mitra Vibhushana," stated President Dissanayake, adding, "Prime Minister Modi rightfully deserves this recognition. This is our firm belief."
