His invaluable contributions to fortifying the party's presence in the national capital were fondly recalled. Born in December 1931 in Lahore, Malhotra passed away at the remarkable age of 93. His remains will be taken to the Delhi BJP office for final tributes.

A five-time MP and two-time MLA from Delhi, Malhotra served as President of the Delhi Pradesh Jana Sangh from 1972 to 1975 and held the position of President of the BJP Delhi Pradesh twice, from 1977 to 1980 and again from 1980 to 1984.
