Bengaluru, Nov 10 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP faction organized a protest on Monday, denouncing alleged videos depicting radical individuals, ISIS affiliates, and criminals receiving lavish treatment inside the Bengaluru Central Prison.

Led by state President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra, along with the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashoka, various MLAs, MLCs, and former ministers aimed to gherao the residence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah but were intercepted by police.

The police detained the BJP leaders, including female representatives, and transported them to an undisclosed site. They chanted slogans against the Congress-led government, insisting on the resignation of CM Siddaramaiah and Home Minister G. Parameshwara.

Vijayendra urged the resignation of both leaders, citing reports of inmates enjoying royal privileges in Parappana Agrahara Jail.

In a statement to the media, he claimed that Parappana Agrahara Jail has essentially transformed into a nightclub or entertainment venue. Allegations suggest that terrorists, ISIS agents, and extremist elements experience luxurious treatment within the prison walls. Reports indicate that inmates have access to TVs, mobile devices, and even weapons, all occurring under the radar, he alleged.

He criticized the state government for its inaction, stating, “The Congress government’s negligence is evident in the luxury amenities afforded to anti-national components in Parappana Agrahara Jail. Even after media reports surfaced, action was only initiated recently.”

“Our democracy faces peril; this is akin to a massacre,” he emphasized, contending that the Siddaramaiah administration has made arrangements for anti-national individuals within the prison.

Vijayendra cautioned that failure to act would hinder the government’s pursuit of cases against anti-national figures. He demanded that for the sake of public accountability and dignity, both CM and Home Minister should resign immediately.

He remarked, “Not only are radical individuals and ISIS operatives thriving outside, but even Karnataka’s prisons have been transformed into government-sponsored leisure clubs for terrorists.”

“Is Rahul Gandhi, who frequently travels abroad and seeks foreign interference in India’s internal affairs, now facilitating these terrorists and utilizing their networks to incite unrest throughout the country for artificial regime change with the assistance of foreign forces?” questioned Vijayendra.

“Mobile phones, luxurious amenities, and plenty of leisure time – it’s unsurprising that radicals find it so easy to operate under this disgraceful regime, treating prisons as their preferred holiday spots where everything is provided at the taxpayers’ expense, courtesy of the Anti-National Congress government,” he asserted.

R. Ashoka accused that calls are being made from the jail to Pakistan and Afghanistan via hotlines managed by Siddaramaiah, D.K. Shivakumar, and Parameshwara.

He queried whether intelligence agencies have been inactive for the past two years and alleged that the Congress has turned police stations into party offices.

Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, criticized the Congress government for its decision to provide essential services to terrorists within the jail.

BJP MLC C. T. Ravi commented that criminals need not visit resorts; they can enjoy the same comforts in jails. “They can even watch inappropriate content inside the prison. Criminals receive royal treatment in jails,” he remarked.

He further lambasted the state government, stating, “Despite warnings from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the government has displayed complete negligence. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Parameshwara must resign; they cannot absolve themselves of responsibility by simply suspending junior officers.”
