Raipur, Feb 15 (NationPress) The BJP has achieved a remarkable victory by winning all 10 mayoral elections in Chhattisgarh on Saturday. BJP National President J.P. Nadda and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai have hailed this as a significant mandate in support of ‘Modi ki Guarantee’.

In a media briefing, CM Sai stated, “The BJP has accomplished a momentous victory in the municipal elections, reflecting the trust of the people of Chhattisgarh in our party. Voters have shown confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his leadership.”

BJP National President J.P. Nadda celebrated the party's success on the social media platform X, stating, “I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chhattisgarh Chief Minister @vishnudsai, State President @KiranDeoBJP, and all the dedicated workers of BJP Chhattisgarh for this phenomenal victory.”

Nadda added, “This exceptional victory symbolizes the steadfast trust of the people in the welfare and tribal-friendly initiatives being implemented by the double-engine government under the esteemed guidance of Prime Minister @narendramodi.”

The BJP secured victories in all 10 mayoral elections, which include – Raipur (Mayor Meenal Choubey); Jagdalpur (Sanjay Pandey); Chirimiri (Ram Naresh Rai); Ambikapur (Manjusha Bhagat); Raigarh (Jeevardhan Chauhan); Korba (Sanju Devi Rajput); Bilaspur (Puja Vidhani); Dhamtari (Jagdish Ramu Rohra); Durg (Alka Baghmar); and Rajnandgaon (Madhusudan Yadav).

In contrast, the Congress party did not win any mayoral seats.

CM Sai remarked that voters have reaffirmed their trust in “Modi ki Guarantee”, which is being fulfilled.

He also pointed out that the BJP's success in the civic elections reflects the development and welfare initiatives undertaken by the state government over the past 13 months.

The Chief Minister mentioned that the BJP had released the “Atal Vishwas Patra”, its manifesto, prior to the civic elections, and voters displayed their confidence in the party's commitments.

“I assure the electorate that all the pledges made in the Atal Vishwas Patra will be honored by the BJP,” he stated.

In Chhattisgarh, there are 10 municipal corporations, 49 municipal councils, and 114 panchayats. The elections for the urban local bodies (ULBs) took place on February 11 with a turnout of 72.33 percent.

The results announced on Saturday revealed that the BJP won all 10 mayoral elections, 35 out of 49 municipal councils, and 81 out of 114 panchayats.

Notably, the Aam Aadmi Party secured one municipal council in Bodri, located in Bilaspur district, while the BSP won in one panchayat.
