Guwahati, Feb 27 (NationPress) The BJP is set to launch the Jana Ashirwad Yatra on Saturday, an initiative designed to engage with the public ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections in Assam. The 10-day journey will conclude on March 9 and will span multiple districts across the state.
Prominent state ministers and senior BJP officials will participate in this outreach effort throughout various locations.
Discussing the Jana Ashirwad Yatra, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized that the campaign is not only focused on showcasing the government's accomplishments but also on establishing a direct connection with citizens throughout the state.
"The Jana Ashirwad Yatra by BJP Assam transcends merely presenting our government's successes; it is also about garnering the people's blessings," he remarked.
Sarma noted that the yatra offers a platform for party leaders to hear the hopes and worries of residents at the grassroots level, which will aid in refining policies and initiatives to align with public needs.
He stated that the BJP's efforts in sectors like infrastructure enhancement, education, healthcare, job creation, and social welfare have established a solid groundwork for Assam's progress.
Moreover, he highlighted the importance of preserving the state's identity and demographic stability within the party's vision.
The Chief Minister expressed optimism that the people of Assam would persist in their support for the BJP, recognizing its dedication to ensuring stability, development, and the safeguarding of the state's interests.
"The trust and blessings from the populace are our greatest asset. With their backing, we are determined to cultivate a safe, prosperous, and culturally rich Assam," CM Sarma stated.
The Jana Ashirwad Yatra is poised to visit numerous districts in the upcoming days, leading up to significant political activities within the state.
Sarma further asserted that the BJP, along with its allies, is in a robust position across at least 103 Assembly constituencies that will be contested in the near future.
When speaking to reporters, he remarked, "The BJP and our coalition partners are in a very advantageous position in at least 103 out of 126 Assembly seats. While I cannot predict the exact number of seats we will secure, the opposition's presence in these constituencies is minimal."
