The Chief Minister made these remarks while addressing an audience at Baradowali, located on the outskirts of the state capital. He noted that during his 120th episode of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared numerous insights from around the country that many people were previously unaware of.
“Today, PM Modi spoke about receiving various greetings for Poila Boishakh, which reflects our unity in diversity,” he stated.
Additionally, he mentioned that PM Modi highlighted important topics such as para-games during the episode.
“Both our state and Central governments have been dedicated to supporting Divyangjans (differently-abled individuals) in unprecedented ways. In today’s discussion, PM Modi also mentioned ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, and a student from South Tripura had the privilege of meeting him regarding this matter. Saha went on to discuss his dialogue with the Mohan Foundation and emphasized that every part of the human body is eligible for transplantation.
He revealed that the Chennai-based Mohan Foundation is partnering with the government-run Govind Ballabh Pant Medical College and Hospital to promote organ transplants, thus improving healthcare services in the state.
He called upon everyone to actively participate in organ donation and stressed that public representatives need to work towards raising awareness about this vital cause.
During the event, the Animal Resources Development Department and SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das were also in attendance.
