Jammu, May 27 (NationPress) The Border Security Force (BSF), integral to 'Operation Sindoor' alongside the Indian armed forces, has unveiled fresh footage of the military operation conducted on May 7 targeting nine significant terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK).
This action was a direct retaliation to the horrific April 22 terror strike in Pahalgam, where four heavily armed terrorists from The Resistance Front (TRF), a group linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), murdered 26 innocent and unarmed individuals, primarily tourists from India.
The Indian armed forces have actively engaged in multiple press briefings to keep the public updated about 'Operation Sindoor'.
Continuing this trend, the BSF released a video lasting 5 minutes and 21 seconds, showcasing intense military operations targeting various terror infrastructure facilities across the border.
The visuals illustrate the Indian armed forces successfully hitting and demolishing multiple critical launchpads and military installations.
The footage also depicts Pakistan Rangers retreating as the BSF executed precise retaliatory actions. BSF personnel are shown actively engaged at different posts, executing calculated strikes on enemy positions across the border.
During a press conference, BSF Inspector General (IG) Jammu, Shashank Anand, elaborated on Pakistan's response following the Indian operation.
"On May 9, Pakistan targeted several of our posts with flat trajectory weapons and mortars. They even opened fire on our village, Abdullian. Our jawans responded effectively. As their firing diminished, they escalated drone activity. In retaliation, the BSF targeted and destroyed the Mastpur terror launchpad," he stated.
He further alerted about possible infiltration attempts, stating, "We are receiving multiple inputs regarding terrorists returning to their camps and launchpads, and potential infiltration along the LoC and the International Border. Security forces must remain vigilant."
Emphasizing the BSF's readiness, Anand confirmed, "The BSF operates its intelligence network and collaborates closely with national intelligence agencies. During the operation, Pakistan evacuated several villages, enforcing curfew-like conditions. The Pakistani Army implemented strict restrictions in those areas."
Later, in an interview with IANS, IG Anand added, "When 'Operation Sindoor' was initiated on May 7, we anticipated a Pakistani retaliation. The BSF was on high alert along the International Border in Jammu. Following unprovoked fire, we responded vigorously. Surveillance footage corroborates the destruction of three major terror launchpads within Pakistan, sending a strong message that India will not tolerate terrorist infiltration."
Reaffirming the BSF's vigilance, he stated, "We are completely prepared and capable of thwarting any infiltration attempts across the border. With the upcoming Amarnath Yatra, we are committed to ensuring the safety and enthusiasm of Indian citizens. Simultaneously, we will maintain constant vigilance and surveillance at the borders."
