Jaipur, Feb 1 (NationPress) In response to the Union Budget, former Mayor of Jaipur Greater Municipal Corporation, Somya Gurjar, described the budget introduced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as “a visionary, inclusive, and welfare-oriented roadmap that will significantly contribute to achieving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a Developed India by 2047.”
She emphasized that this budget is “not just a financial declaration but a holistic development document intended to provide resources and opportunities for every family, community, region, and sector across the nation.”
According to BJP leader Gurjar, the budget illustrates the Narendra Modi administration’s dedication to nation-building rather than temporary populism.
“At a time when the world is grappling with trade conflicts, supply chain interruptions, geopolitical strains, and economic uncertainty, India has unveiled a well-balanced, confident, and growth-centric budget,”
she stated.
“This demonstrates India’s capability to turn global challenges into opportunities while ensuring economic stability.”
By highlighting the emphasis on inclusive growth, she mentioned that the budget focuses on youth, women, farmers, MSMEs, startups, industry, health, education, and innovation.
“The special focus on modern and future-ready sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, the Semiconductor Mission, and renewable energy will propel India towards becoming a global technological hub,”
she added.
Gurjar also asserted that the budget will bolster the foundation of “Developed Rajasthan by 2047.”
“Modernizing railways and enhancing connectivity through high-speed and freight corridors will significantly boost trade, tourism, and industrial investment,”
she noted, further saying that incentives for MSMEs and industries in tier-2 and tier-3 cities will create fresh economic opportunities for states like Rajasthan.
She welcomed the announcement of establishing women’s and girls’ hostels in every district, calling it “a robust step towards women’s empowerment, safety, education, and self-sufficiency.”

Gurjar concluded.
Referring to agriculture and rural development, she pointed out that initiatives related to water conservation, animal husbandry, and increasing farmers’ income will “open a new chapter of prosperity in rural India.”
