Bus Collides with Multiple Vehicles in Kurla, Resulting in Three Fatalities and 17 Injuries

Mumbai, Dec 10 (NationPress) Three individuals lost their lives and 17 others sustained injuries after a bus crashed into multiple vehicles in the Kurla region of Mumbai on Monday night.

According to police reports, the incident took place at 9:50 p.m. in front of the Anjuman-e-Islam School on SG Barve Marg in Kurla (West).

A police official stated that the driver of the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus apparently lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a collision with several other vehicles.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the cause of the accident may have been brake failure.

The bus was reportedly en route from Kurla railway station to Andheri at the time of the accident.

A staff nurse at the nearby Bhabha Hospital mentioned that 20 individuals were admitted for treatment, with three pronounced dead upon arrival. The remaining injured parties are currently receiving medical care.

Reports indicate that around 10 people are in serious condition.

Following the incident, a large crowd gathered at the scene, with some injured individuals being transported to the hospital in autos. The accident caused significant traffic disruptions in the surrounding area.

High-ranking police officials have arrived at the location.

As of the time this report was filed, the precise number of casualties has not been confirmed.

It remains unclear whether any victims were transferred to medical facilities other than Bhabha Hospital.
