With over 2.4 lakh registered voters, the election will be conducted across more than 300 booths utilizing electronic voting machines equipped with VVPAT systems.

Chauhan’s candidacy establishes a direct contest against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which has nominated Harshad Parmar, the son of the deceased MLA Govind Parmar.

Earlier, Harshad Parmar submitted his nomination papers in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

As part of the nomination process, multiple forms were filed before the deadline.

Harshad Parmar, who is currently a sarpanch and involved in local governance at the taluka level, is being promoted by the BJP as a candidate with strong grassroots connections, continuing his father’s political legacy.

The election officials have designated April 7 for scrutinizing the nomination papers and April 9 as the final date for candidate withdrawals. Meanwhile, voter awareness initiatives are being rolled out in villages throughout the constituency to boost participation.
