Officials have reported that over 2.4 lakh voters are registered in this constituency, with polling taking place at more than 300 polling stations utilizing electronic voting machines equipped with VVPAT units.
Administrative arrangements, including the appointment of nodal officers and training for polling staff, are already in progress in accordance with Election Commission guidelines.
Preparations for public amenities across all Assembly constituencies slated for bye-elections are also underway.
The Umreth Assembly constituency is part of the 182 seats in the state Legislative Assembly and falls within the Anand Lok Sabha constituency. It encompasses regions from Umreth taluka and sections of Anand taluka, including several villages and urban areas.
During the 2022 state Assembly election, Parmar secured the seat with a margin exceeding 26,000 votes.
