Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to Head Andhra Delegation at Davos

Amaravati, Jan 1 (NationPress) A team representing Andhra Pradesh, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, will embark on a four-day visit to Switzerland's Davos from January 20 to participate in the World Economic Forum 2025.

This delegation aims to engage in the annual WEF meeting to highlight the strengths and investment opportunities available in the state.

Accompanying the Chief Minister will be Information Technology Minister Nara Lokesh, Industry Minister T.G. Bharath, along with several officials.

The state government recently announced an order that endorses the proposals put forth by the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB).

Members of the delegation will consist of officials from both the Industry Department and the APEDB.

The Government Order stated that the Chief Minister has received an invitation to attend the WEF annual meeting, which will revolve around the theme 'Shaping the Intelligent Age'.

In an informal discussion with the media at the TDP office in Mangalagiri, Chief Minister Naidu, who also leads the Telugu Desam Party, noted that citizens delivered a historic mandate to the TDP-led NDA in 2024. He criticized the previous administration under Jagan Mohan Reddy for its mistakes that he believes have negatively impacted the state.

Naidu asserted that the populace now feels secure and at ease since the NDA regained power. He lamented that the previous government's chaotic policies dismantled essential systems, leaving projects like Amaravati and Polavaram in disarray.

Since forming the coalition government, he mentioned visiting New Delhi four times to secure central funding and resolve technical issues, emphasizing the state government’s gradual but steady progress toward recovery.

The Chief Minister announced that the Polavaram Project Technical Committee has delivered its feasibility report, and he is optimistic about completing the project on schedule with funds from the central government.

While asserting his commitment to avoiding vindictive politics, Chandrababu Naidu stated that he would not overlook those responsible for errors.

"The public will once again witness the 1995 Chief Minister in me. Stringent measures will be taken against those who post objectionable remarks on social media," he warned.

He also noted that the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) agreement is a significant benefit for the state.

"We will proceed according to legal provisions after reviewing the relevant records," he clarified.

Naidu highlighted that thousands of crores in investments have flowed into the state over the past six months, contrasting it with the lack of investments during the previous administration. He criticized the YSRCP for failing to fulfill promises such as total prohibition and the revocation of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in the past five years. He assured that the TDP-led NDA government will fulfill all 'Super Six' promises made to the public.
