Chief Minister Saha Highlights Importance of Tripura Civil Service Officers in Government Initiatives

Agartala, Dec 28 (NationPress) - On Saturday, Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha stressed the essential contributions of Tripura Civil Service (TCS) officers in the successful execution of government programs, initiatives, and schemes designed to tackle public concerns and promote development.

While participating in a winter clothing distribution event, the Chief Minister remarked that TCS officers are pivotal in ensuring that various welfare schemes, provided by both Central and state governments, benefit the most underprivileged groups in society.

He noted that these officers serve as a vital link between the government and the community.

The winter clothing distribution event was organized by the TCS officers association, where approximately 400 families affected by the recent floods in Agartala received winter clothing.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the TCS officers association's ongoing commitment to social engagement.

"Earlier, the association provided winter clothing to 700 sanitation workers from Agartala Municipal Corporation. Such initiatives in social service are truly commendable. The efforts of TCS officers have also been crucial in effectively managing various disasters, such as the recent floods," he stated.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is devoted to establishing a dynamic, welfare-focused administration, with TCS officers being essential to achieving this goal.

Attendees at the event included Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Corporator Tushar Kanti Bhattacharya, President of the Tripura Civil Service Officers' Association Dilip Kumar Chakma, and General Secretary Ashim Saha.

In another address, the Chief Minister remarked that officers within the state government are crucial in fostering a corruption-free administration, which exemplifies good governance.

"The primary objective of good governance is to establish a corruption-free administration. We must strive for this, as it will ensure continued public trust in our efforts. The people believe in us, and TCS officers play a vital role in this. Everyone must contribute to the welfare of the state's residents. We have also initiated 'Amar Sarkar' to tackle local development challenges," he noted.

Saha highlighted that approximately 60 percent of Tripura's population consists of the youth, whose potential should be harnessed to empower the state.
