Chief Minister Sarma to Unveil Significant Development Initiatives in Nagaon District, Assam

Guwahati, Dec 20 (NationPress) In alignment with the series of developmental initiatives unveiled by the state government earlier this month, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to introduce numerous beneficiary schemes and development projects in Nagaon district this Friday.
Taking to the social media platform X, CM Sarma announced, "I will soon arrive in Nagaon to dedicate various benefits to the populace as part of the #12DaysOfDevelopment initiative. This initiative aims to reach approximately 12 lakh individuals, empowering them with essential support."
Previously, CM Sarma stated that the state government has established sub-districts in Assam to enhance the capacity of smaller administrative units to deliver public services more effectively.
He elaborated, "In Assam, we have launched the Sub-districts initiative to empower smaller administrative units to provide public services and address their grievances efficiently. Coupled with other measures, our administration is devoted to ensuring Good Governance through our initiatives."
The CM emphasized, "Today signifies the commencement of the #GoodGovernanceWeek2024, a week dedicated to celebrating the people-centric initiatives of the government. Coinciding with Atal ji's jayanti, this year we have adopted the theme of 'Prashasan Gao ki Ore' to enhance service delivery in rural settings."
Notably, Chief Minister Sarma engaged in an enlightening presentation regarding the Gelephu Mindfulness City Project during his recent four-day visit to Bhutan.
The presentation offered significant insights into the project's aims and framework. Representatives from Druk Holding and Investments Limited underscored their ongoing efforts to promote environmental sustainability while fostering economic growth.
The presentation also highlighted Bhutan's energy projects, emphasizing their potential to strengthen the mutual interests of Assam and Bhutan.
CM Sarma encouraged the attending dignitaries and entrepreneurs to participate in the forthcoming investor summit, Advantage Assam, which is focused on infrastructure and investment opportunities.
Following the presentation, he participated in a luncheon hosted by Dr. Lotay Tshering, Governor of the Gelephu Mindfulness City Project.
