Chirag Paswan Ready to Contest Bihar Assembly Elections if Party Directs

Patna, Dec 14 (NationPress) Union Minister Chirag Paswan, the national president of the Lok Janshakti Party Ram Vilas (LJPRV), stated on Saturday that he is ready to compete in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections if his party gives him the go-ahead.

In his address to the press, Paswan highlighted his dedication to the progress of Bihar, encapsulated in his motto: "Bihar First, Bihari First."

“I consistently prioritize my slogan of Bihar First Bihari First while remaining within my home state. The decision regarding my participation in the assembly election lies with my party. I will adhere to their resolution,”

Paswan remarked.

When asked about the prospect of becoming the Chief Ministerial candidate following Nitish Kumar's term, Paswan seemed reluctant.

“The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will contest the Assembly elections under Nitish Kumar's guidance next year. Kumar is set to continue as the Chief Minister of Bihar,”

Paswan stated.

He chose not to speculate on leadership matters, asserting that such decisions belong to the alliance.

Chirag Paswan also addressed comments made by the Leader of the Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, who claimed that the BJP would “submerge” Paswan just as it allegedly did with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

In response to this assertion, Paswan dismissed the idea, reaffirming the solidarity within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

He accused the opposition of attempting to create divisions within the NDA and redirected criticism towards the internal struggles of the India Alliance.

“The opposition is anticipating a split in the NDA, but such a scenario will not occur. We are united in our efforts to advance Bihar and will contest the elections collaboratively,”

Paswan declared.

He also took aim at Rahul Gandhi for failing to acknowledge the implementation of the Emergency during the Congress regime, despite his frequent references to the Constitution.
