Patna, July 6 (NationPress) Amid mounting speculation regarding the Union Minister for Food Processing, Chirag Paswan, the chief of LJP (Ram Vilas) has hinted at his intention to contest in the forthcoming Assembly elections in Bihar.

Paswan noted that every time he returns to Bihar, he encounters inquiries about his political ambitions and today, he publicly declared that he and his party will embrace this electoral challenge.
During the 'Nav Sankalp Mahasabha' event held at Rajendra Stadium in Chhapra, he announced his intention to contest elections across all 243 seats in Bihar, emphasizing that he would compete as 'Chirag'.
The LJP chief also shared a video excerpt of his campaign address, stating on X, “From this sacred land of Saran, I am announcing that I will contest the election. This is for the people of Bihar, for my brothers, for my mothers, for my sisters. Together, we will forge a system in Bihar that propels the state towards genuine development.”
He clarified that the LJP will continue to be a part of the NDA alliance.
Without naming any individuals, Paswan suggested there are efforts to prevent him from returning to Bihar, but he asserted that he will not be intimidated.
He expressed his commitment to the principle of 'Bihar First, Bihari First' and stated he would be willing to sacrifice everything for this cause.
Addressing the topic of caste reservation, Paswan remarked that there have been persistent rumors about its repeal, but as long as he is alive, no force can dismantle it.
Criticizing the Opposition, he claimed that those who now discuss development in Bihar are the very individuals who contributed to its decline during the 1990s.
