Patna, June 1 (NationPress) In a notable political shift ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti has suggested that Union Minister and party leader Chirag Paswan is gearing up to make a comeback in Bihar's political arena and is likely to run in the elections.
Bharti, who represents the Jamui constituency and is Paswan's brother-in-law, alluded to this strategic move in a comprehensive post on the social media platform X.
He stressed that Chirag Paswan’s political dedication has consistently centered on Bihar, referencing the party chief's enduring slogan "Bihar First, Bihari First".
According to Bharti, active leadership from Chirag is crucial for achieving the goal of a prosperous and self-sufficient Bihar.
“This can only happen if he remains in Bihar and takes the lead,” Bharti noted.
Arun Bharti, who has been actively touring the state as a party representative, shared that there is a prevailing sentiment among party workers and citizens for Chirag Paswan to participate in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Recently, a consensus resolution was adopted in the LJP (Ram Vilas) executive meeting, urging Chirag to take the electoral plunge and assume a leadership role.
In a pivotal political statement, Bharti pointed out that Chirag Paswan should aim to contest from a general seat rather than a reserved constituency, highlighting a significant change in his political stance.
"This time, Chirag should contest from a general seat instead of a reserved one - to convey that he is ready to lead the entire state and not just one section," he remarked.
Through his social media post, Bharti positioned Chirag Paswan not merely as a party figure, but as “the hope of all of Bihar”, with aspirations to transform the politics of social justice through wider representation and advocating for broader societal acceptance.
"If a leader is for all of Bihar, why confine the seat to a specific category?" Bharti added.
If Chirag Paswan moves forward with his decision to contest the Assembly elections, particularly from a general constituency, it would signify a substantial transformation in the political dynamics of the state.
