New Delhi, Aug 6 (NationPress) BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh delivered a forceful critique of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, alleging that he is tarnishing India's institutions, democracy, and Constitution to appease foreign interests.
Chugh's comments were a direct response to Gandhi's recent criticisms regarding the Indian economy and the government's strategies.
He accused Gandhi of being a 'puppet' for billionaire investor George Soros, whom he claimed harbors harmful intentions towards India.
"Rahul Gandhi is issuing these statements to satisfy his American benefactor George Soros, who aims to destabilize India. Rahul is merely acting as his puppet," Chugh stated in an interview with IANS.
He further remarked that making such statements about India's economy—which he asserted has achieved remarkable progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi—was comparable to "spitting on the moon".
"Prime Minister Modi enjoys global admiration. He has propelled the Indian economy to extraordinary heights. Speaking against such a leader is akin to spitting on the moon—ineffectual yet revealing one's mindset," the BJP leader noted.
Chugh accused Rahul Gandhi of consistently undermining India's institutions, including the judiciary and armed forces, claiming this behavior has become habitual for the Congress party.
"They question the Army, disrespect constitutional institutions, and indirectly please Pakistan. This has become the essence of Congress," he commented.
Addressing the Gandhi-Nehru family directly, Chugh asserted that their mindset is entrenched in authoritarianism.
"There is a dictatorial streak in the DNA of the Gandhi-Nehru family. They believe they are above the Constitution and national institutions," he stated.
In a pointed message to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Chugh asserted, "India will be governed by Ambedkar's Constitution, not by the autocracy of the Gandhi family."
