New Delhi, Dec 20 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, of engaging with an aide of billionaire investor George Soros in Berlin. BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh asserted on Saturday that the Congress leader's purported 'anti-India' strategy is now completely unveiled.
In an interview with IANS, Chugh stated, "The anti-India strategy of Rahul Gandhi has been entirely revealed. His actions are not random; they display a systematic and planned approach. While Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and other Congress leaders make incendiary speeches domestically, Rahul Gandhi is seemingly coordinating internationally with networks supported by George Soros and working on 'anti-India' toolkits. This clearly highlights the Congress' duplicity and double standards."
Chugh further claimed that Congress is not contesting the Narendra Modi-led Union government on governance or policy matters but is rather attempting to weaken India's democratic institutions.
"The citizens of India can clearly observe that Congress’ genuine conflict is not with the ruling party but against the nation itself. By allegedly taking guidance from foreign entities, they are promoting an 'anti-India' agenda. Nevertheless, the people of this country will respond strongly to such tactics," Chugh told IANS.
Commenting on a contentious statement made by Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in Parliament, BJP leader Chugh remarked, "His comments indicate intellectual bankruptcy and are utterly condemnable. Using terms like 'haram' alongside the revered name of Shri Ram is entirely unacceptable. This statement reveals the 'anti-Hindu' and 'anti-Sanatan' ideology of the INDIA alliance. The faith of millions of Lord Ram devotees globally has been publicly insulted. This is an unpardonable act. The community that reveres Ram is observing, the entire nation is watching, and even the world is taking note. The INDIA alliance will undoubtedly face repercussions for such actions."
Sanjay Singh ignited controversy in Parliament by stating that "even 'haram' contains 'Ram'" during a discussion in the Rajya Sabha.
Singh made this remark while opposing the Viksit Bharat–Gramin Rozgar Aur Maanav Garima (VB-G RAM G) Bill, which aims to replace the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Labeling the proposed legislation as a "black law", the AAP MP warned that enacting it would be a "historic error" and asserted that farmers and laborers would take to the streets in protest.
Later, Singh defended his statement, claiming it was a reiteration of a quote attributed to the late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, made in response to a comment by Ram Vilas Paswan regarding his name containing the word 'Ram'.
