CM Naidu stated, “I unequivocally condemn the attack on the Chief Justice of India, Justice B.R. Gavai Ji. Such acts are intolerable and contrary to the values of a civilized and democratic society. Maintaining the dignity of our judiciary is essential for our democracy's operation,” in a post on the social media platform X.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also voiced his condemnation on X, saying, “Words fall short when expressing my condemnation of this heinous attempt to target and intimidate the nation’s judicial leader. This marks a somber day in our country’s narrative. I stand united with citizens in support of our courageous CJI, His Lordship B. R. Gavai, who resolutely declared he would not be intimidated by such cowardly acts.”
Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan, also spoke against the attack, stating, “The attempt to harm the Hon’ble CJI is alarming, and we condemn this act UNCONDITIONALLY. While we recognize the intense feelings involved, an error in judgment is still a violation of Dharma. Our ancient wisdom calls for adherence to law and constitutional respect above all,” he noted.
“Our historical texts teach that justice is realized through due process, not impulsive actions! We reject any conduct that undermines the commitment of millions of Sanatanis who advocate for law and order. JanaSena firmly supports the dignity of the CJI's office,” he added.
Former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party head Jagan Mohan Reddy also took to X to label the attack as disgraceful and troubling. “The shameful assault on Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Shri B.R. Gavai Ji, in the Supreme Court is profoundly disturbing and must be condemned without reservation. This is an affront not just to an individual but to the very dignity of our highest judicial institution. We must unite in preserving the integrity of our institutions and behave with maturity and responsibility,” he remarked.
Additionally, Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Nara Lokesh condemned the incident, stating, “I have just learned about the shameful and cowardly attack on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, BR Gavai. I strongly condemn this; such intimidation attempts against the judiciary have no place in a democracy and must be addressed decisively. I wish the CJI strength as he continues to uphold constitutional values with remarkable composure,” he posted.
