The inauguration took place in the presence of Delhi BJP President and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, whose attendance underscored the political weight the ruling party is placing on visible infrastructure delivery in the capital's eastern zones. Cabinet colleague Pravesh Sahib Singh, MLAs Ravindra Negi and Ravikant, and District President Vijender Dhama were also present at the event.

CM Gupta framed the bridge not as a standalone project but as a direct intervention in the daily lives of east Delhi's residents. 'Ease of Living' — a phrase the Delhi government has adopted as a governance benchmark — was central to her message: better roads, reduced traffic pressure, and time saved on everyday commutes.

The bridge links two critical water-body boundaries that have historically fragmented east Delhi's road network. By stitching together Kondli, Kalyanpuri, and Ghazipur with a dedicated slip road connection, the project targets a gap that urban planners and residents have flagged for years.
