Chennai, July 31 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who was hospitalized ten days ago, is set to visit the Secretariat on Thursday to participate in a series of important events.
Previously, he was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai’s Thousand Lights area due to health concerns. During his week-long stay, he continued to manage governmental affairs from his hospital bed. Following his discharge, he took time to recuperate at home but is now ready to resume his public responsibilities.
After ten days, the Chief Minister will visit the Secretariat on Thursday. He will honor 135 students from Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare schools who have gained admission to prestigious institutions for the 2025–26 academic year, including the Indian Institutes of Technology, Central universities, National Institute of Fashion Technology, National Law University, Miranda House, and Delhi University.
During the ceremony, he will distribute commendation certificates along with laptops to these students.
Additionally, he will inaugurate several newly completed facilities: police department buildings valued at Rs 27.59 crore; fire and rescue service buildings costing Rs 13.54 crore; a project for the prisons and correctional services department worth Rs 60 lakh; and a Narcotics Investigation facility constructed by the Forensic Science Department at a cost of Rs 3.74 crore.
CM Stalin will also present appointment orders to 39 candidates selected by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission for typist roles in the Tamil Nadu State Chamber of Commerce, alongside a compassionate appointment for Krishnaveni in the same organization.
He plans to unveil the 'Tamil Nadu State Transgender Policy, 2025'.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister will launch two new state revenue office buildings and 12 sub-registrar office buildings constructed by the Commercial Taxes and Registration Department, with a total expenditure of Rs 27.4 crore.
In the Chengalpattu registration district, the existing Tiruporur Sub-Registrar Office has been divided to establish two new offices at Navalur and Kelambakkam, which he will officially inaugurate.
Looking ahead, CM Stalin is scheduled to travel from Chennai to Thoothukudi on the evening of August 3 to inaugurate the VinFast electric vehicle manufacturing plant and launch the first sales of its vehicles on August 4.
