CM Vijayan Denounces Nitesh Rane's 'Mini-Pakistan' Comments as a Grave Violation of Constitutional Oath

Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 31 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Kerala, on Tuesday, expressed strong disapproval of Maharashtra BJP Minister Nitesh Rane's comment labeling Kerala as ‘mini-Pakistan’, asserting that such statements represent a serious violation of the oath to uphold the Constitution of India.

In a statement released by his office, CM Vijayan emphasized that Rane's remarks are not only provocative but also entirely unacceptable, showcasing the Sangh Parivar's underlying attitude towards Kerala.

“The Sangh Parivar operates under the belief that it can marginalize regions where its influence is minimal by fostering alienation and disseminating hate propaganda. Such comments emerge as a response to that ideology,” remarked CM Vijayan.

“The minister who uttered this hateful comment is unfit to retain his position. It is astonishing that the national leadership of the ruling party has not taken any action against a minister who has committed such a profound breach of oath and insulted the Constitution,” CM Vijayan further stated.

V D Satheesan, the Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly, asserted that Rane, who referred to Kerala as a ‘mini-Pakistan’ while also disrespecting Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, should resign from his ministerial role.

Satheesan pointed out that a similar comment was made by senior CPI(M) leader A Vijayaraghavan, who suggested that Rahul Gandhi's victories in Wayanad were facilitated by communal forces and that extremist elements were present at Priyanka Gandhi's campaign events.

K Sudhakaran, KPCC chief, accused both the BJP and CPI(M) of engaging in a coordinated attempt to undermine Kerala's secular heritage.

In his statement, he claimed that BJP leader Nitesh Rane's hate speech, echoing CPI(M) Politburo member Vijayaraghavan's claims, serves as proof of this conspiracy.

Rane's inflammatory comments were made during an event in Pune, where he characterized Kerala as a ‘mini-Pakistan’ and alleged that “only extremists in Kerala” support members of the Gandhi family, including Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.

This statement has sparked significant political backlash, with opposition parties accusing him of spreading hatred and demanding immediate accountability.
