Commotion in MP Assembly Following Amit Shah's Comments on Dr. Ambedkar

Bhopal, Dec 18 (NationPress) The opposition party, Congress, and the ruling BJP engaged in a verbal spat on Wednesday in Madhya Pradesh over Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks concerning Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar made in Parliament.
During the third day of the winter session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Congress representatives highlighted the issue in the House, insisting that the Union Home Minister should issue an apology for his comments.
Under the leadership of the Opposition Leader (LoP) Umang Singhar, Congress legislators proceeded to the well of the House, staging a protest while chanting slogans such as "Amit Shah maafi maago".
In response, the ruling party members countered Singhar, resulting in a heated exchange of words between the BJP and Congress legislators.
To quell the unrest, the State's Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya intervened, stating that the House could not engage in debates on this topic and urged Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar that nothing should be documented.
In retaliation, Congress MLAs escalated their slogans and moved further into the well of the House. Members of the ruling party, who had remained mostly silent, rose from their seats and gathered near the Chief Minister's bench.
Eventually, BJP legislators, including Chief Minister Mohan Yadav along with his cabinet ministers, also joined the well of the House. Nevertheless, the Congress MLAs persisted in their arguments and ultimately chose to exit the House.
This led Speaker Tomar to suspend the House proceedings for 10 minutes.
Earlier that morning, Congress legislators arrived at the Assembly with tea kettles, accusing the BJP government of failing to meet its pledge of generating two lakh jobs each year.
"We have brought tea kettles to represent the struggles of the youth of Madhya Pradesh, who are compelled to open tea stalls under the BJP's rule. During the elections, the BJP promised to create two lakh jobs annually, but it has not delivered on that promise," stated LoP Umang Singhar.
Additionally, Congress MLA Mahesh Parmar from Ujjain's Tarana constituency arrived at the Assembly adorned with a garland made of liquor bottles to protest against the ruling BJP.
Security personnel prevented him from entering the House until he removed the garland. Parmar expressed that he intended to wear the garland inside the House to draw attention to the alleged liquor scam in Madhya Pradesh.
