A press release signed by AICC General Secretary (Organization) K.C. Venugopal indicates that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has sanctioned the immediate appointments of the presidents for all 35 DCCs, along with a list of the appointed individuals.
“The Congress President has greenlit the proposal for appointing Presidents of the District Congress Committees in Odisha, effective immediately. This initiative is part of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan. AICC Observers assigned to each district conducted comprehensive assessments, interacted with party officials and various stakeholders, and submitted their detailed reports. After the reports were submitted, one-on-one discussions were held with each Observer and senior leaders,” the order states.
From this evaluation process, 35 leaders have been chosen and designated as presidents of their respective organizational District Congress Committees.
It's noteworthy that AICC General Secretary (Organization) K.C. Venugopal also convened a review meeting on Monday with the party observers assigned to Odisha for the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan in Delhi.
During this campaign, the AICC General Secretary engaged with the Odisha Congress’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC), members of the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC), AICC observers, and other senior party officials, as well as legislators and party workers in two significant meetings held in Bhubaneswar.
In discussions with PAC members and other party leaders in Odisha, Venugopal emphasized the necessity of fortifying the organization at the district and grassroots levels, asserting that PCC observers must play a crucial role in this endeavor.
Venugopal also mentioned that the selection of presidents for all 35 organizational districts in Odisha under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan would conclude by September 30.
Through this initiative, AICC observers assigned to each district performed thorough evaluations.
