Court Issues Show Cause Notice to Bikaner East MLA Siddhi Kumari Amid Property Evaluation Dispute

Jaipur, Dec 5 (NationPress) In a case concerning the misappropriation of property associated with the former royal family of Bikaner, a court has issued a show cause notice to Siddhi Kumari, the MLA for Bikaner East, due to multiple instances where the court-appointed commissioner was obstructed from accessing Shiv Vilas within Lalgarh Palace.

The court has now empowered the commissioner to summon police assistance to ensure adherence to its orders.

The disagreement centers around Rajyashri Kumari, a member of the erstwhile royal family, and MLA Siddhi Kumari, regarding the alleged misappropriation of assets belonging to the late Rajmata Sushila Kumari. To preserve the properties, the court designated Trilochan Sharma as the Commissioner to assess and report on the matter.

Initially, Sharma was refused entry to Lalgarh Palace. On his second attempt, although he was permitted onto the grounds, he discovered the rooms in Shiv Vilas were locked. A court order issued on December 3 required Sharma to provide a report, but once more, access was denied.

Previously, on November 30, Sharma indicated that a guard at the palace prevented him from entering, citing Siddhi Kumari's absence and her refusal to authorize entry. Consequently, he was unable to catalog the properties. Siddhi Kumari's attorney later sought to annul the commissioner's appointment, a request the court denied.

On Wednesday, Sharma presented his findings in court, stating that despite the court's directive, the guard did not allow him entry to Shiv Vilas on November 30, claiming that Siddhi Kumari was not present. The doors of Lalgarh Palace were secured and locked, thus hindering the preparation of the inventory of Rajmata Sushila Kumari's properties.

On the same day, Sharma attempted to execute the court's order but was again unable to access the locked rooms. He was informed that Siddhi Kumari held the keys and could not grant access due to health concerns. Consequently, Sharma left without finalizing his report. In his latest submission, Sharma indicated that the lack of cooperation had obstructed his ability to complete his duties. He requested police help to ensure compliance. The court has now instructed the Bikaner Superintendent of Police to provide necessary security, allowing Sharma to continue his inspection.

On Wednesday, the court issued show cause notices to Siddhi Kumari and guard Avinash Vyas for impeding its orders. It has directed Trilochan Sharma to return to Shiv Vilas on Friday, with the authority to call for police assistance should he face additional resistance.
